Yesterday, I made quite possibly the greatest defensive baseball play I have ever made. The situation helped lead to the play, which I might not have tried otherwise. We were already ahead by a healthy margin, and they had a slow runner up to bat. I was playing shortstop, and he grounded slowly toward me. I charged in, and as I planted my feet to field the ball, I slipped. I still managed to field the ball though, and knowing I still had time, I threw to first. On my butt. And got him!
