Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman

My Rating:
Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman

Perhaps paradoxically, I didn't get through this set of short stories by Haruki Murakami as quickly as I would have gotten through one of his novels of similar length. Maybe it was just because, being short stories, there were more opportunities to stop reading and put the book down, since I wasn't yearning to find out what happened next.
Regardless, Murakami has some very good stories in this collection. "Firefly," which later morphed into Norwegian Wood, "Hanalei Bay," and "The Kidney-Shaped Stone" were among my favorites. Definitely worth picking up.

Next up is The Monkey Wrench Gang by Edward Abbey.
