Carpe Demon: Adventures of a Demon-Hunting Soccer Mom

I was originally going to diss this book in my review, due to the fact that it was a fairly blatant ripoff of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer grows up, retires, has kids, and gets called back into action." Plus, the author went out of her way to try to show how stay-at-home moms are superheroes for doing all the stuff they do every day (which I realize they actually are. Hi, honey!). But eventually, I realized that the formula actually worked, as obvious as it came across. Still, the story was fairly predictable, but then, so was Buffy. It was still entertaining though, so it scrapes out a 3.5 star rating.
