House Update

| | Comments (0)

Things are really picking up with the place. All the electrical finished up at the beginning of last week and to our surprise, the house was almost completely drywalled on Saturday. It was so exciting to walk through and see our house slowly looking more and more like a home.

Aloha, again

Today we kayaked from Kailua Beach to the Mokulua Islands, it took about an hour to get out there and a little over half hour to get back. It was worth the trip as we had the entire island to ourselves. Truly amazing. Then we were off to Diamond Head Crater, the hike was only about .8 of a mile but the view was incredible. Then we were off to Pearl Harbor and took the ferry over to the USS Arizona Memorial. The USS Memorial was a little disappointing because it was so windy, we were not able to see much of the ship because of the waves. Finally, we hit Monterrey Seafood Restaurant. Jenn ordered the seafood platter while I, yep Mike D, ordered Mahimahi and Sirloin Steak. The meal was not spectacular but it was certainly momentous with me ordering fish. Mahimahi was actually very good, not a 'fishy' aftertaste and very tender.
